Frequency Loom Privacy Policy

Effective August 31, 2026 ยท Version 2.2

Frequency Loom is designed as an on-device acoustic commissioning fieldbook. It requires no account and includes no advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, remote configuration, subscription, or developer-operated backend.

Data Collection

Shadowfetch does not collect personal data, audio, commissioning projects, diagnostics, usage analytics, or identifiers through Frequency Loom. The app does not track users across apps or websites.

Microphone Access

Frequency Loom asks for microphone permission only when you begin a witnessed capture. Incoming samples are analyzed in memory to derive broadband and one-third-octave evidence values. The app does not save microphone samples as audio and does not upload them.

Local Project Data

Job identity, listener-area plans, user notes, input-chain details, calibration context, derived run measurements, quality assessments, integrity seals, and void records are stored in the app's private Application Support container on your device. Deleting a job removes its local record. If an archive becomes unreadable, Frequency Loom keeps the original bytes until you explicitly preserve that archive and start fresh.

Exports

JSON evidence packages, CSV ledgers, and text reports are created only when you request an export. The iOS share sheet controls where the file goes. Any destination you choose is governed by that destination's privacy practices.

External Reference Links

The Methodology screen includes optional links to standards organizations and commercial technical references. They open only when tapped. Visiting an external website is subject to that site's privacy policy.

Children

Frequency Loom is a professional field utility and is not directed to children. Because the app collects no data through a developer service, Shadowfetch does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app.
